Strategy is not planning

“Strategic Planning” is a term that is alluring - It sounds sophisticated and highly valuable. Talking about strategic planning or even accomplishing it can give a leader a sense that they’re doing something transformative that will drive great results for their business.

Many leaders don’t understand the difference between strategy and planning. A strategy is not simply a long-term plan.

A strategy, in essence is a theory. It should not be complicated.
